Managing Director and Head of AWMS Australia, New Zealand
Mr. Benveniste is a Managing Director, Head of Australia and New Zealand within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares' client management activities in the global wealth channel. From January 2020 through July 2023, he was the Head of Ares Australia Management for Ares Australia Management Pty Ltd., a strategic joint venture tasked with bringing Ares capabilities to Australian private wealth investors. Prior to joining Ares, Mr. Benveniste was the Lead Senior Investment Specialist at Macquarie Group for Macquarie fixed income in Australia, where he managed a team of investment and product specialists, which covered private wealth and institutional investors. Previously, Mr. Benveniste was the Lead Loan Trader at Société Générale, where he focused on investing across the full range of private debt instruments including leverage loans, project finance and emerging markets debt in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Benveniste holds an M.M. and an M.Sc. from EDHEC Business School in Finance.
