Welcome to The FAST Take—real time macro, market and asset class perspectives from our Financial Advisor Solutions Team
So who is FAST? Our names are Carlin Calcaterra and Brendan McCurdy and we co-head the Financial Advisor Solutions Team within Ares Wealth Management Solutions (“AWMS”). Our job is to provide financial advisors and their clients with education and asset allocation support on private market solutions. Together, we have over 25 years of providing guidance and implementation on multi-asset portfolios for large institutional and private wealth pools of capital – we’re part quants, part macroeconomists, who embrace a healthy appreciation for topics like history, psychology, and philosophy. At Ares, we seek to offer advisors insights and education relating to private markets – everything from what they are to how they work and where they fit into portfolios.
To that end, AWMS is pleased to introduce “The FAST Take” – on the fly perspectives and observations designed to provide a combination of macro insights, asset class education and portfolio construction.
Much of what we’ll share is inspired by the thoughtful questions we receive from financial advisors as they work to safeguard and grow their clients’ wealth. A large portion of “The FAST Take” will be researched responses to those questions, in hopes of delivering the answers to a broader audience who may have similar, unanswered questions.
In sharing this information through “The FAST Take,” we hope to build a library of answers and perspectives across private markets topics that are easily searchable and usable through the AccessAres portal for financial advisors at any stage of their private markets journey.
